Sarah deCourcy is a talented and experienced UK based Producer, Songwriter, Composer, Musical director and multi
instrumentalist.
Sarah started playing the piano from the age of three, and gained a scholarship to the world renowned Chethams School of Music,where she won numerous awards. She then obtained another scholarship to study at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London studying classical music with Christopher Elton and composition and commercial music and technology under veteran arranger Nick Ingham (Madonna, Radiohead, and Seal)
Working across a range of music genres: pop, classical, acoustic, rock, live, TV and Film she since enjoyed significant success working with leading Artists such as - Kylie Minogue (EMI), Christophe Willem (Sony France) Lucie Silvas, (Mercury Records) Melanie C (Virgin Records); Uma (Protostellar Records).
This also included several recording and production projects with -
Steve Anderson; James Whiltshire (Freemasons):Richard Biff Stannard:Jeremy Wheatley: Jamie Hince (The Kills): Wez Clarke;
Richard X ; EMI Records ; Sony Records ; Ministry of sound 'Data Records' ; and many more....
All of this provided great opportunities to embrace new technology particularly that of Korg with whom she has an Artist, Performance and Production agreement.
Sarah has had a No.3 record with the Christophe Willem Album this Year on which she has written and produced two songs for the album and vocally recorded and produced the entire album.
Also a Top selling Live Album with Kylie Minogue of which she Musically Directed and performed on.
Element Recording Studio
Sarah has been running her own recording studio in Chiswick for the last four years. Using Logic, Protools, and Abelton Live, the studio has a large size control room/seating area: a large recording booth, fully equipped for recording live drums, bass, guitar, and vocals even a fully fledged string quartet. . It also provides a selection of outboard gear, - microphone, guitars, keyboards, drum kit, etc and provides an excellent mixing facility.
Both Kylie Minogue and Christophe Willem have worked there - recording vocals, instruments, songwriting sessions and production work.
